We Believe

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, supernaturally inspired; that it is inerrant in the original manuscripts and preserved by God in its verbal, plenary inspiration; and that it is a divinely authoritative standard for every age and every life.

[2 Timothy 3:16-17] All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. [NASB]

We believe that the Godhead exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that these three are one God.

[John 10:27-30] “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.” My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. “I and the Father are one.” [NASB] [John 14:15-17] “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. Role of the Spirit “I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you. [NASB]

We believe that God is absolute and sole creator of the universe and that creation was by divine command. [Genesis 1:1] In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. [NASB]

We believe that God, by His sovereign choice and out of love for men, sent Christ into the world to save sinners.
[1 John 4:14-15] We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. [NASB]

We believe that Jesus Christ in the flesh was both God and man; that He was born of a virgin and that He lived a sinless life; that He was crucified, died as a penalty for our sins, and was raised from the dead bodily on the third day. Later, He ascended to the Father’s right hand where He is head of the church and intercedes for believers, and from whence He is coming again personally, bodily, and visibly to this earth to set up His millennial kingdom.
[1 Timothy 2:5-6] For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time. [NASB] [Colossians 1:18] Christ is the head of the church, which is his body. He is the first of all who will rise from the dead, so he is first in everything.

We believe that since in His death, by His shed blood, the Lord Jesus Christ made a perfect atonement for sin, redeeming us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, men are saved and justified on the simple and single ground of the shed blood.

[Romans 3:21-26] But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished- he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus. [NIV]

We believe that such salvation with its forgiveness of sins, its impartation of a new nature, and its hope of eternal life, is entirely apart from good works, baptism, church membership or man’s effort and is of pure grace.

[2 Corinthians 5:17] Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. [NASB]

We believe that a true believer is eternally secure, that he cannot lose his salvation, but that sin may interrupt the joy of his fellowship with God and bring the loving discipline of his heavenly Father.

[Ephesians 4:30] Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. [NASB]

We believe that all who receive Christ become joint-heirs with Him, and at death, their spirits depart to be with Christ in conscious blessedness and at the rapture their bodies will be raised to the likeness of the body of His glory and dwell forever in divine presence.

[Romans 8:16-17] The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him. [NASB]

We believe that it is the goal of every Christian to become a disciple of Christ by growing toward spiritual maturity through the knowledge of and obedience to the Word of God and the submission to the Holy Spirit, Who indwells, baptizes and seals all believers at the moment of salvation.

[Ephesians 1:13-14] In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation — having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory. [NASB]

We believe that every true Christian is to be a dynamic part of a local church since this is God’s primary context for spiritual development and community impact.

[Hebrews 10:23-25] Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near. [NASB]

We believe that good works nor a faithful religious lifestyle saves a person because all men are born totally depraved, and that salvation comes only by having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

[Acts 4:12] “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved.” [NASB] [Ephesians 2:8-9] For by grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast.

We believe that it is the responsibility of all persons that confess to have faith in Christ to be ministers for Christ and spread the gospel message throughout the world, beginning in their present location.

[Matthew 28:19-20] “Go therefore and make disciples of all nation, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
