Jerome Jeremy Pritchett is a native of Dallas, Texas (Oak Cliff/Highland Hills), raised by his loving parents, Bishop Richard C. Pritchett Jr. and Caroline Pritchett, who instilled in him a deep commitment to serving God and others from an early age. At the age of eight, Jerome accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He shares a close bond with his sister, Raechell Pritchett-Bonds.
Jerome graduated from high school in May 2003 through the Wilmer-Hutchins Independent School District (WHISD). He received several academic and band scholarships; however, during that time, his parents and sister had undergone surgeries. Choosing family over opportunity, Jerome made the selfless decision to remain close to home to attend Paul Quinn College. While there, he earned a scholarship as a saxophonist in the marching band and distinguished himself as the final Drum Major in the school’s history before the football program was discontinued. He later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in May 2008, and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Bible and Theology from Nelson University.
As a dedicated bi-vocational pastor, Jerome faithfully balances ministry with his professional career. He and his wife, Koekisa (Koe-keisha), share a beautiful love story: they met as children during Vacation Bible School at about age 8, before God reunited them in August 2006. After two months of dating, Jerome proposed on November 25, 2006, and they were married on August 25, 2007. Together, they are the proud parents of two wonderful children, Princeton (15) and Olivia (11).
Koekisa serves as a Licensed Vocational Nurse with 26 years of clinical experience across long-term care, correctional health, and outpatient settings. Parkland Health & Hospital System. Combined, Jerome and Koekisa bring over 40 years of experience in the healthcare industry.
Jerome was raised in the Baptist church and has served faithfully in ministry for over 30 years. His leadership experience includes serving as Vice President of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Deacon Board (overseeing church operations), General Church Administrator, Church Training School Superintendent and Instructor, Choir Director and Musician, President of the Men’s Ministry, and Administrator over various platforms including the church webmaster, Facebook, UberConference (Dialpad), YouTube, media, and communications.
A second-generation with a dual legacy of ministry from his father and maternal grandmother, Jerome preached his first sermon and received his Certificate of License to Preach the Gospel on his birthday, February 16, 2020. Later that same year, on July 3, 2020, he was called to organize and establish New Kingdom Fellowship Church as a new place of worship.
Pastor Pritchett is committed to advancing the Kingdom of God, demonstrating love for all people, and faithfully carrying out the work of his Heavenly Father.
“And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?”
St. Luke 2:49
